New BNE member

May 10th, 2016

BNE’s Board is very pleased to announce that Antenna Hungaria is now a full member of BNE. Their membership was approved unanimously by the General Assembly, making it the organisation’s 19th member to date. BNE is  now present in 22 countries.

BNE is now a member of ETSI – European Telecommunications Standards Institute. This membership comes in addition to BNE’s existing partnerships with ITU – International Telecommunications UnionECC – European Communications CouncilDVB – Digital Video Broadcasting Standardisation Body and WSG – Wider Spectrum Group.
ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, produces globally-applicable standards for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), including fixed, mobile, radio, converged, broadcast and Internet technologies.

Massive International Support to “No Change” Prior to WRC-15

October 30th, 2015

More than 630 broadcast organisations from all over the world made a joint contribution to the WRC-15 defending the 470-694/698 MHz band for primary use only by the Broadcasting Service.

The document makes reference to all major studies during recent year and concludes that there should be “No Change” in the radio regulations for the 470-694/698 MHz band used by the Broadcasting Service on a primary basis.
